President

As president and founder of R.E. Millward & Associates Ltd. , Mr. Millward oversees all projects, adding value through years of planning experience within Toronto and Internationally. He has recently managed the process for the Toronto Coordinated Street Furniture Program, Union Station’s Master Plan process, the Toronto Film Studio/Filmport development and negotiations for a concrete and aggregate site consolidation in the Port Lands.

From 1987 to 1996, Mr. Millward served as the Commissioner of Planning and Development for the (former) City of Toronto. Mr. Millward was instrumental in the economic development of downtown Toronto through revitalization projects and implementation of large capital investments projects. Under his direction, a new Official Plan was written, the revitalization of King-Spadina and King-Parliament areas commenced, the SkyDome, BCE Place and Air Canada Centre were built, and the Woodbine Racetrack and St. George Street through University of Toronto were redeveloped.

Robert Millward graduated from New York University with a Masters in Urban Planning and a B.A from the University of Rochester, New York. He is a Registered Professional Planner, a member of the Ontario Provincial Planning Institute, and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Planners.
